Chocolate Nutty Toffee makes for the perfect gift to give to neighbors and friends. Toffee is a chocolate lovers dream. Its a hard but chewy caramel colored candy covered with plenty of semi-sweet chocolate and sprinkled with plenty of chopped pecans.
Who would ever guess that four ingredients could make something so delicious? How can four ingredients combined together make something so wonderful? Pecan, chocolate, sugar along with butter becomes the holy trinity.
The candy is made by combing the sugar and butter in a saucepan. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Once the candy is done spread it on the parchment covered baking sheet. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Allow the chips to melt, then spread the melted chocolate over the caramel.
The chocolate has been melted over the caramel candy. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the caramel candy and allow to cool for an hour.
