The Gillette Stadium

I really couldn’t travel to Boston without visiting the legendary Gillette football stadium before leaving for home.   The Gillette Stadium is the home of the New England Patriots NFL Football.  The Gillette stadium is located halfway between Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island.  The New England Patriots have a major following. The football team fan base encompasses all the New England states.    The Gillette stadium is located in the town of Foxboro.  The Patriots have sold out every home game since opening the stadium in 2002.  The fans really support their team.

The Gillette stadium is out in the boonies miles from downtown Boston.  I guess you could say Foxboro made for better access to the stadium for the New England Patriots massive fan base.

What I found most interesting about the stadium was that it’s privately owned and operated.

They are the only one in professional football that can make that claim. Security is tight; its virtually impossible to get onto the grounds of the stadium even if you just want to site see.  The Patriot security takes safety pretty seriously.

The Patriots have won lots of games at this stadium.  My team the Raven are arch rivals of the Patriots. Check out My Visit To Boston, you’ll find a lot to see and do there in the city.
