Toasted buttery candied pecans offer a healthy choice to a quick snack. Add them to a salad, give them as a gift, or eat them for there buttery goodness you are sure to enjoy.
Ingredients
3 cups pecan
½ cup brown sugar + ¼ cup optional
3 tablespoons soften butter
1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium mixing bowl combine the softened butter, brown sugar minus the ¼ cup brown sugar, and maple syrup (optional). Toss the pecan in the mixture.
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread the sugar coated pecan on the sheet to bake for 20 minutes. Turn the pecans often so they don't burn.
Remove the baking tray from the oven sprinkle another ¼ cup of brown sugar over the pecan as they cool (optional).
Break the pecans apart. Cool and enjoy!
