Stir-Fried Brussel Sprouts with Balsamic and Crispy Bacon is the perfect side dish loaded with lots of flavorful bacon.
Ingredients
  • 1 pound Brussel sprouts, trim and cut into medium sliced pieces
  • 3 thick-cuts of bacon slices, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ medium onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup chicken broth (optional)/water
  • ¼ cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ cup pomegranate
Instructions
  1. Take 3 thick slices of bacon then cut them into small pieces. Fry in a skillet until crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté chopped onions and garlic in the bacon grease until onions are translucent.
  3. Add the sliced Brussel Sprouts to the onion mixture. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning. Sauté for 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Bring a bit more flavor by adding ¼ cup chicken broth/water which helps to steam the Brussel Sprouts for added tenderness. Cook for another 5 to 6 minutes.
  5. Next, add the bacon back into the skillet and thoroughly incorporate the bacon into the Brussel Sprouts.
  6. Drizzle a couple of tablespoons of Balsamic vinegar into the pan. Toss evenly throughout. Remove from the heat. Garnish with pomegranate seeds (optional). Enoy!!!
