Old Fashion Banana Nut Bread is a tried and true classic recipe. It is quick and easy to make. Perfect for breakfast or sharing with family and friends.
Ingredients
3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3-4 overripe bananas, mashed
1 cup chopped walnuts
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Grease and flour 9x5x3-inch loaf pan or 4 small mini loaf pans or two 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 2-1/2-inch loaf pans.
Next, peel and mash the bananas.
Measure and add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
Using a mixer beat on medium speed for 2 minutes combining all the ingredients.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan(s). Bake for 50 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the loaf pan(s). Check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the loaf and comes out clean.
Remove from oven allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing with a serrated knife to prevent the bread from falling apart.
NOTE: Less time might be needed when using mini loaf pans 25-30 minutes.
