decorative sugar/salt (optional) for rimming 3 glasses
lime wedges (optional to rim glasses
Simple Sugar syrup
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
Instructions
Simple syrup
Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar. Next, bring the mixture to a boil. Finally, cool the syrup before using.
The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 weeks.
Margarita Cocktail
Rim 3 glasses with the simple syrup, allow the syrup to become tacky before dipping the rim of the glass in the decorative sugar, then set aside (optional, use a lime wedge to rim the glass if you aren't using a simple syrup).
Next, garnish three cocktail skewers with the blackberries, blueberries, and other fruits; set aside.
Muddle (mash) the berries along with some of the other fruits in a small bowl. Next, transfer the fruit to each individual glass (optional, margarita glass).
Place ¾ cup of ice cubes in a cocktail shaker.
Add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec. and simple syrup to the cocktail shaker.
Shake to blend all the ingredients together.
Place ¼ cup ice into each glass.
Top with the margarita mixture.
Garnish with fruit skewers and add a straw.
