Quick and Easy Buttery Candied Pecans are the ultimate healthy snack food, when eaten in moderation. Well what can I say pecans are delicious, and yes they taste good too. Team them up with butter and brown sugar and bake them for a little while, and you have yourself one mouthful of goodness.
These tree nuts are cholesterol free and contain over 19 vitamins and minerals. Twenty pecan halves contain about 196 calories, and that’s without the butter and sugar.
Plain is boring all it takes is three ingredients to jazz up these nuts. Chances are you have these ingredients in your kitchen already. In a bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup (optional). Toss the pecan in the mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread the sugar coated pecan on the sheet to bake.
Bake the pecan for twenty. Turn the pecan a couple of times throughout the baking process so they don’t burn. Remove the baking tray from the oven sprinkle another 1/4 cup of brown sugar (optional) over the pecan as they cool.
