It’s football season. It’s time for game day cheesy bean dip. However, anytime is a good time to have this dip. My family and I tend to eat more game day cheesy bean dip during football season. Thus goes the name “Game Day Cheesy Bean Dip”. Double batches of this dip is a must on game day!
When my boys were growing up they would eat only certain kinds of beans. They would eat baked beans because they were sweet, and they loved my green beans because of all that down home goodness filled with potatoes and smoked ham hocks. Yum, making me hungry just thinking about that dish.
Well, can I say game day cheesy bean dip is one of their favorite dishes? The first thing they ask for when they are ready to chow down while watching the game. Their question is, “mom, did you make the bean dip?” My answer is always, “well of course I did!” You simply must try my Cheesy Taco Dip, another easy appetizer to die for!
Believe me, it only takes minutes to put this scrumptious appetizer together. The most difficult part is to wait for those fabulous ingredients to heat until bubbly. Take your pick to bake it in the oven or heat it up in the microwave, it’s just that simple.
To mesh all those delicious flavors together, all you need is two 16-ounce cans of refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, 2 taco seasoning packets, hot sauce and lots of cheese. I use a combination of cheddar and Monterey Jack. I had to keep this stuff on speed dial on game day. It’s just that good, and it would go that fast! Try it at your next family event, and let me know what you think. I’m sure your family and friends will agree with my sons that game day cheesy bean dip is delicious.
