The Fourth of July Holiday Wreath

I was so inspired this holiday to create a holiday wreath for the 4th of July. The local neighborhood craft store is known to have some amazing savings just before the holidays.  The savings can be up to 60% off seasonal merchandise. I’m a budget minded person so I checked my craft supplies to see what I already had on hand before heading to the local craft store. I found some red, white and blue ribbons in my craft supplies.

Supplies Needed

The supplies I knew I would need but I already had on hand was wire cutters, floral wire, a hot glue gun and glue sticks.

My goal was to create a beautiful low-cost patriotic wreath to welcome my family and friends for the 4th of July holiday.

The other supplies that I purchased were:

13” grapevine wreath

2 assorted blue flower picks

3 red flower picks

white hydrangea flower pick

berry branch

fern branch

red white and blue flag pinwheel

When I got home from the craft store, it literally took me 25 minutes to put this wreath together. I inspired to create the wreath for this holiday season. First, I felt such a sense of pride for my country and secondly, I felt the need to express my love for my country.

How to Decorate the 4th of July Wreath

  1. Positioning the flowers on the wreath where they looked best.
  2. Cut the flower picks about 4 inches from the flowers end. Pushed the ends of each pick into the wreath.  Keep the picks inside the wreath twisting and bending the picks so they won’t be seen on the back of the wreath.
  3. Hot glue the flowers to the wreath where needed.
  4. Make a bow and attached it to the wreath using the floral wire.
  5.  Use floral wire to make a hook on the back of the wreath to hang the wreath the door hanger.

It filled me with such happiness to display the wreath on my door. It’s a wonderful representation of the pride I have for this great country.  Create a wreath for the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness: Pink Wreath for Breast Cancer Awareness.
