Steps In Making Old Fashion Banana Nut Bread

It’s never been easier to make Old Fashion Banana Nut Bread.   Use one large bowl to mix all the ingredients together. Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

  1. Greasing and flour a large loaf pan.  This prevents the bread from sticking to the pan.
  2. 3 to 4 overly ripe bananas, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and chopped walnuts (optional).
  3. Combine all of the ingredients in one large mixing bowl.  Blend for 2 minutes with a mixer or by hand until thoroughly combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan until 3/4 full (this prevents batter overflow while baking).  Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.

Set a timer to remove the bread when done.  Before removing the bread from the oven stick a toothpick in the center of the bread to check for doneness.  If the toothpick comes out clean remove the bread from the oven.  Remember banana bread will become dry and tough if allowed to overcook. There’s nothing like a nice warm moist slice of banana nut bread.  You might like to try these recipes as well found here on the website:
