Sweet Italian Sausage Peppers Stir-Fry with Pasta

There’s nothing more satisfying than a quick Sweet Italian Sausage Peppers Stir-Fry with Pasta, sautéed in fresh garlic, onion, and spinach for dinner.  Looking for an easy dish to get on the family’s dinner table in less than 30 minutes?  Well, this meal is for you!

Ingredients needed for the Sweet Italian Sausage  Peppers Stir-Fry Pasta

There’s really nothing complicated about this meal. The ingredients are simple.  All you need are:

  • Sweet Italian Sausage
  • multi-colored peppers
  • spinach
  • sliced onions
  • pasta, Rotini (your choice)
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • dried oregano
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • olive oil
  • butter

Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente.  Drain the pasta, then set aside.  While the pasta is cooking add your sliced Italian Sausage (not shown) to a large skillet and cook over medium heat until only a small amount of pink remains.  Next add the peppers, onion, garlic, spices, and continue to cook for 5 minutes.  Now follow by adding the pasta back to the skillet combine thoroughly.  Lastly, add the fresh spinach and butter to the skillet, mix until the butter melts and the spinach wilt a bit.

Serve immediately!  It’s just that quick and easy to make.  Clearly, it’s all about putting a healthy meal on the table in a short period of time.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Sweet Italian Sausage
  • 1 yellow multi-colored pepper (your choice)
  • ½ red multi-colored pepper (your choice)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • ½ cup sliced onions
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12-ounces box rotini pasta, (pasta of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tables butter
Instructions
  1. Begin by slicing the peppers and onions into medium strips. Minced the garlic cloves.
  2. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente according to package directions. Drain the pasta, then set aside.
  3. While the pasta is cooking slice the Italian Sausage into 1-inch pieces or (remove the sausage from the casings).
  4. In a large skillet cook the sausage over medium heat until only a small amount of pink remains, 6-8 minutes.
  5. Next add the yellow and red peppers, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper, then continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add the pasta to the skillet combine thoroughly. Lastly, add the fresh spinach and butter to the skillet, mix until the butter melts and the spinach wilts, 2 minutes.
